HapDog Labs was founded in San Francisco, California by longtime friends Benjamin Z and Joseph P representing a collaboration focused on a unique design process.

Benjamin studied painting at the UCLA School of Art and became the third generation of a family business known for producing clothing enjoyed across the world. Benjamin carries on his family tradition, fusing a lifetime of experience with the refined eye of a painter.

Joseph graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in History and Archaeology and was able to combine the research skills he acquired from his career in Finance with his passion for art history and archaeology.

Through the aid of the San Francisco Bay Area’s digital innovations, the two began to harness the power of technology to discover treasures hidden in artwork from around the world to inspire their designs and creative process.
